ARTIST STATEMENT

“I am interested in exploring the timeless, continuously creative work of the Spirit of God that exists in the universe and every creation. There is a Unique Purpose, a Positive Movement, a Supernatural Energetic Force that is always present and creating a desire for growth, love and connectedness within all of God’s Creation. This is the inspiration and focus of my paintings. My desire is to express, visually on canvas, imagery that captures the constant creativity of this Spirit, that is, the essence of Life.”

ARTIST'S BIOGRAPHY

I have lived in Wilmington, North Carolina since 1997. Born in Yakima, Washington in 1962, my family moved to Los Angeles, California when I was ten years old. As a child, I was always creating art in various mediums and would cover my bedroom walls and also engrave into my furniture, imaginary world and characters from my imagination. After completing high school, I became a career actress and artist in Hollywood for ten years. During this time, I also received a 2-year degree from West Los Angeles City College and took art classes at Santa Monica City College. I chose to leave Los Angeles in 1997 in order to raise my two small children in the more rural and spiritually centered community of Wilmington, NC. In 2006, I finally completed my course study at UNCW to receive a B.A. in Studio Art. My vision is to inspire in others, the Divine Creativity, that is unique to each individual so that they may seek to become closer and more connected to the Spirit within.
